Andy Knudsen

Andy trained as a journalist and has been a freelance writer and reporter for a number of publications for several years. He began teaching shorthand in 2007 and is an NCTJ accredited shorthand teacher. While continuing to write, he currently teaches at a dedicated journalism college in London and holds a teaching contract at London College of Fashion.

Angela Millen

Angela Millen started her career as an English teacher, teaching in Muscat and Tokyo. She retrained as a lawyer and is now an NCTJ-accredited law tutor and examination marker, with several years experience teaching the full NCTJ newspaper journalism media law course. She is academically qualified as a barrister (non-practicing) and is a member of the Inner Temple inn of court. She currently teaches media law at a dedicated journalism college in London, and also does regular work for a south London law firm in children and criminal law.

Ken Toft

Kenneth Toft is an NCTJ accredited shorthand teacher and started teaching shorthand with Pitman Training in 2004, holding contracts at Bloomberg, London’s City University, News International, University of Kent, Westminster University to mention but a few. He later went on to teach shorthand to a range of Corporate clients including Mittal Steel, Ofcom and Ofgem before taking up the position as Shorthand Course Coordinator for a private journalism college in Central London. Kenneth currently teaches Teeline shorthand on a full time basis. When not teaching, he spends his spare time as a magistrate within the City of London Magistrates Court. Kenneth is a dedicated teacher and has taught students to achieve speeds in excess of 120 words per minute in as little as three months.
